A.R Carpentry – Terms & Conditions (Services)

These Terms & Conditions set out the agreement between you (“the client”) and A.R Carpentry (“we”, “us”, “our”) when you request our carpentry services.

Scope of Work
All work will be carried out as described in the agreed quote or proposal.
Any changes requested after acceptance (e.g., design modifications, additional materials, extra labour) may affect the final cost.

Quotes & Estimates

Quotes are valid for 30 days from the date of issue.

Prices may change if materials increase significantly before work starts.

Quotes are based on information provided by the client — hidden issues (e.g., plumbing, electrics, uneven walls) may affect pricing and timescales.

Deposits & Payments

A deposit may be required to secure materials or book work.

Final payment is due upon completion unless otherwise agreed in writing.

Payments can be made via bank transfer or other methods agreed in advance.

Late payments may incur a reasonable fee to cover administration.

Cancellation Policy

Cancellations made before work begins may result in loss of deposit if materials have already been purchased.

Cancellations once work has started may require payment for labour completed and materials used.

Access & Responsibilities
The client is responsible for:

Providing suitable access to the property

Ensuring the workspace is clear and safe

Informing us of any structural, electrical, or plumbing considerations that may impact the job
We are not liable for delays caused by lack of access or incomplete information.

Workmanship Guarantee
We take pride in our work. All workmanship is covered by a 12-month guarantee against faults directly caused by installation.
This does not cover:

General wear and tear

Damage caused by misuse, neglect, or third-party alterations

Natural changes in real wood (movement, knots, grain variations)

Materials & Measurements
We take all reasonable care with measurements and material selection.
Real wood products may vary in:

Colour
-
Grain
-
Texture
These variations are not considered defects.

Liability
We are fully insured.
We are not liable for costs arising from:

Delays outside our control
-
Pre-existing issues not visible at the time of quoting

Accidental damage to hidden pipes/cables unless disclosed by the client
Nothing in these terms limits your statutory consumer rights.

Photographs & Marketing
With your permission, we may photograph completed work for our portfolio and marketing channels.
